Kentucky Federation of Chapters Web Blogs
(Print these instructions)
I
have created blogs (weblogs) for each Kentucky NARFE chapter. These blogs are
available on the Internet to be used as learning and/or recruiting tools for the
each chapter. Each chapter has been assigned a login name and password in order
to access their chapter’s blog.
(In order to receive your login name and password, email me at the address below.)
Below is an introduction into the steps for accessing your chapter’s blog. This blog can be used as an introduction into blogging or as a recruiting tool.
The address of the
blog login page is :https://www.blogger.com/start.
You will be asked for your login name and password.
You will always start
at this page so it is useful to add it to your favorites (Bookmarks).
Once your sign in,
you will see the Dashboard. ( Dashboard image below)
Be sure to look around and investigate this area. This is what you will see:
New Post, Edit Posts, Settings, Layout, and Monetize (investigate all these areas)
View
Blog, New Post, Edit Post, Settings, Layout and Monetize
are links and are all very useful.
Monetize places ads on the
page at no cost to you.
(I have found this function to not be very useful or necessary and can be ignored.)
Click (or double click) on View Blog.
If you View Blog after you sign in, you will see a Yellow Pencil below each post next to the comment link.
Click on the Yellow Pencil.
You are now in the Edit
mode and you can either edit a current post or create a new post. ( EDIT page below )
Below the Edit Page mode, there is a rectangle that says Publish. If Publish is clicked, your post goes into the blog page to view.
Any time you wish to Edit your page, click on the Yellow Pencil and begin to Edit your page. Be sure to Publish any changes you make.
View Post will allow you to view your last post.
View Blog will allow you to view your blog.
Please remember that the blog is only a tool to be used by a chapter and is not necessary for any chapters function other than to use the blog as learning and/or recruiting tool.
